Flights: Air New Zealand, United, and Quantas arrive in Auckland
from North America. There are daily connecting Air New Zealand
flights from Auckland to Katei (1 hour travel time).
Rental
Cars/Vans: For those driving from Auckland, rental cars and
vans can be hired at the Auckland International Airport. For
those flying into Katei, rental cars can be arranged to meet
you at the airport. Reminder: New Zealand driving is on the
LEFT side of the road, so take care. All USA, Canadian and International
drivers' licenses are valid in New Zealand. Driving time from
Auckland to house is approximately 4 hours.
Buses:
A comfortable Northland passenger bus express leaves Auckland
for Kaitaia at 8:55 am (Mon-Fri), stops in Mangonui, and then
passes near the house. Inter City buses leave daily from Auckland
for Mangonui at approximately 9:00 am and pass near the house.
Total bus travel time is 5 1/2 hours.
